About Trilect Electrical Services Ltd
Our great company started back in 1997 with the 3 partners, Owen, Jim, and Pete McInally. Owen has always been a silent partner that has overseen the company due to his vast history in electrical expertise and managing companies, however, it has always surprised me how much noise a silent partner can actually make.
Jim was the number one man from day one were he started working full time while Pete continued working his normal job and working extra hours with Jim in the evenings and weekends until the workload was enough to provide an income for 2 employed staff, this took about 8 weeks.
Pete’s first vehicle was a $150 prelude that we needed to park around the corner because it was too embarrassing to drive into the customer’s driveway until we could afford our 2nd van, this only took about 4 weeks as that was all that was left on the warrant of fitness of the now unwarrantable vehicle, but driving in that car it felt more like 4 years.
Since then we have moved from a home-run business to a subtenant business with various small storage areas and workshops to our 15 staffed teams running very efficiently out of our East Tamaki Warehouse on Torrens Rd.
2019 is a big year for us as we have expanded our business to 5 divisions, which include but are not limited to Residential Electrical, Commercial Electrical, Gate Automation Solar Power, Underfloor Heating, and Housing New Zealand contractor. Our team also increased to 80 people and we have moved to a new, bigger premise at 13 Laureston Ave, Papatoetoe.
We started small and we are fully aware of what it takes to keep our customers happy. This knowledge and attention have been enabled us to keep on growing, so seems like we have been doing the right thing all along. We will always continue to focus on our customers more than ever, as we know that you, our customers are our business lifeline.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We run the Maramarua Squash Club and we needed to redo our kitchen, pete came out to do a price and realising it was a club and non profit organisation helped us out. He charged half his normal hourly rate and all the gear at his cost, even had some new lights he had on the shelf that were not required so also donated these to the site. The guys came out and were polite and friendly. Job was done and it looks awesome, really happy and good to see an electrical company that still supports the community with projects like this. Highly recommended , cheers to Pete and the Trilect Team.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Firstly when I phoned Peter was awesome - answered all my questions and moved things around so the job could be done for me on the same day.
The guys who attended the job were fantastic - nothing was too much trouble - they were polite and explained what they were doing all the way throughout.
It's hard to find good trades people these days - 100% recommend Trilectrical to anyone after a company who can pretty much do it all when comes to electrical issues!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pete from Trilect came out to quote for our gala day electrical needs. On arrival he commented that there would be no charge and he was happy to help. He went beyond expectations by providing an empty van to move gear around and helped set up stalls etc. We were really impressed with his polite and professional service on the day, helping the day move smoothly for all our food stalls. It is really good to see an electrical company that is there to help the community, which is rare to find these days. What is even more surprising is that his children don’t even go to our school. Great work Pete! Highly recommended.

They arrived on time and went about fixing the issue quickly. Checked all the other fuses and talked through the what, why and how with me in simple to understand language. Couldn’t recommend these guys enough. Defiantly will use again. Thanks guys
