★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I signed up for a 2 year deal and opted for the washing machine as a “gift”. Upon signing up the salesperson said the machine was “like this one” and did not give me the model number. After 10 months with the provider we unboxed and plugged the machine in last week to find that it is a terrible machine. The reviews online are awful, it takes on average 3 hours to do one load of washing and with a young family this is unmanageable. No wonder Samsung and Trustpower were giving them away. Don’t opt for the washing machine. I am now paying insane amounts for internet and power with no benefit. When I rung them they were awful, their customer service said I’m in a contract and cannot offer anything else. Don’t bother signing up. Will now be terminating contract as soon as I can afford to and having to buy another washing machine. It has been the greatest waste of time for this new mum of two.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been with trustpower power for well over 10 years, never received one of their sign up deals and now the router for internet has not been working for weeks they tell me I need to pay for the postage to get a replacement on the old router which I am advised is over 7 years old and need to sign up for another 12 months to get it for free. Very unhappy, in fact looking for new providers on power, gas and internet. Disappointing that the lady I spoke with had no way to address my concerns.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am a current customer of Truspower and unfortunately I have a 12-month contract. My experience was terrible so far. Signing up with Trustpower is only possible by phone. There is no online portal or forms that you can email and sign up. Their phone lines quality is extremally bad, combined with the odd accents of sales guys, makes it very difficult to understand what they are saying.
Their online portal and mobile app is too slow (probably sitting on a local cheap server). The portal and app does not provide any daily power usage report, so you are in complete darkness on how much power you are using everyday. Also, there is no analytics/reporting available for you. This capability that most power companies offer by default, would help you monitor and adjust your power usage.
DO NOT EXPECT proper customer service if you join Trustpower. Sometimes their agents chat with multiple people at the same time. Usually they can't do anything about your queries except to send it to someone else. Don't be surprised if you didn't hear back from those someone-elses or if it took days to get a simple request done.
DON'T do my mistake. Go with a power company that values customer service.
Kiri, try not to reply. Your company (not you) is a total disaster and you can't make it look better. I just realised it by reading other reviews.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We signed up for the 2 yr deal. First we were told our internet would be $98 a month, then advised after we had signed that price was GST exclusive. Had to wait months for the Smart TV, had to ring constantly for the rebate for joining. Internet is terrible doesn't pick up a variety of smart devices, but now we changed providers all devices work. Prices are way higher than other providers. We left when our contract was up, but got charged a full month of internet, when I questioned they said it was in their terms, if I had got a landline with them they would have refunded me for their period of non service. If I had cancelled on the 31st of the month I would not have been charged. Would not recommend, would avoid at all costs.

I choose the 2 years contract in which you receive an appliance as a reward and after 5 weeks waiting for it, I called and they said they didn't order it. They told me they were going to do it at that moment and I will have to wait other 4 weeks to receive the tracking number of it, so more than 2 months to receive it.
I decided to cancel because of this, so they charged me their service with fees extreamly more expensive than any other company, router fee, and any reward.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was with Trustpower on a two year contract and overall, their service was good. What brings the rating down is when I wanted to leave them after my contract ended. Firstly, they will charge you (for broadband) for the entire month instead of on a pro rata basis. Secondly, while discussing this (and trying to leave them) their billing department were condescending and impatient. This was in stark contrast to my phone conversations with them while I was a paying customer.
Side note, shop around as there are cheaper providers than Trustpower now.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I can only speak from my experience which was absolutely outstanding.
Signed up online on Sunday to switch Power and Fibre to Trustpower. Got a message on Tuesday that my fibre would be connected on Thursday which it was and my Power just got switched today (Friday). So from signing up to getting connected it just took 5 days. First thing I noticed was also a faster download and upload speed with Trustpower even so the same speeds were advertised as my previous Provider. The Eero 6 Router was an absolute pleasure to setup and I like the fact that you can control it from an app on your phone. Thanks Trustpower !!!! :-) now patiently waiting for my joining Reward :-)
