★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went there with my family and a friend, as a plan B due to it was public holiday. I have been there a few times, and recalled their food was ok. This time, to my surprise, the whole menu and fitout has been changed, I reckoned it must be the owner had changed. It now mainly offer spicy hot stir fries. Basiclly, customers choose ingredients from display shelves, the kitchen then stir fry them in different level of spicyness. You are charged based on the weight of the ingredients instead @$3.5 for per 100g. It is a very popular business model as it save a lot labour and there are a lot restaurants in Auckland are doing it.
We ordered some other dishes as welk for the older and my young boy. The stir fry was ok but much more oily than other places, for its taste, I might give it a 6 out of 10.
Other dishes were not up to standard except a stir fry baichoi. The lamb pot was very oily and spicy, not in a good way. The mix stir fry pork was way way too salty, the pork pieces were way too big, must be prepared for other dishes instead. We ened up with leftovers. And fun part was they charge 50c for each take away boxes. I was like what? After spending 150 dollars for some below average food, I had to pay more for taking aways??
The girl at the counter service was apparently not in the mood of working either, did not smile to us,or any others the whole time we were there...
So there you go 1~10, 10 is,the best

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What they do is the sitr-fried hot pot （麻辣香锅）where you can pick your own food upfront and give them to the kitchen to cook. This is the dry version of the hot pot so may not suit everyone. But if you do like this style, the food there are authentic and good value for money. Although the chef is not from Sichuan hence the 4 stars.
