★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nick Pfahlert is the MOST arrogant, rude person I have ever dealt with! How he runs a company I shal never comprehend! My company wanted to use them to put up some scaffolding on a clients house - they wanted us to apply for a company account with them which we did not want to do. I offered for us to either pay when the invoice was sent to us (like almost every other company) and he wasn't happy with that. I also offered to then pay cash up front before the job began - he still wasn't happy and advised me that because I wanted to pay cash that tells him we as a company do not have any money (that remark made no sense what so ever!) I explained to him my reasons for not wanting an account and that R&S Trades were more than happy to invoice us and we pay it. Nick then told me to "F off and use R&S and shove my job"
R&S have been AMAZING to deal with!
I would not reccomend Nick or UPRIGHT SCAFFOLDING LIMITED to anyone.
Most unprofessional, rude, useless man I have ever come across!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had got the Upright team to put scafolding up for my builder when repairing the cladding of my house.
I had forgotten to call them to get the scaffolding removed and with the builders needing it down so they could progress, I called the Upright offices late on Saturday afternoon to see what could be done...
I spoke to Nick Phalert, who was out biking with his friends, he said he would get back too me... I waited for over an hour, but then we he returned my call he said he would have a team there in 20 minutes. When the trucked pulled up the drive, it was Nick and his wife with another couple of their team and they spent the next 3 hours removing the scafolding.
I was certainly grateful that they had gone out of their way to help me out... I would certainly reccomend them to my friends...

They have been great at resourcing all their works to suit my project programme. Their attitude towards H&S aligns with our own, a leading SCIRT contractor. These guys are the leaders in the South Island.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have had the pleasure of dealing with Nick Pfahlert and Upright Scaffolding over the last 3 years of my professional career in New Zealand. I am a Project Engineer working for a leading contractor as part of the Christchurch SCIRT rebuild team. Nick and his team have been the preferred scaffold subcontractor on two of our major projects within SCIRT. This has been the Colombo Street Bridge and Moorhouse Avenue Overbridge, both in the CBD. Nick has been extremely approachable throughout the entirety of the projects and has been the main contributor to innovative designs that have enabled us to carry out work in logistically challenging environments.
In addition to Nick and Uprights design expertise, the whole team has a Health and Safety ethos that far exceeds any other scaffold contractor I have worked with both in NZ and the UK. Couple the aforementioned with very competitive quotes, transparent invoicing and an efficient administration team, I would not hesitate to recommend Upright Scaffolders as the best Scaffold contractor available in Christchurch

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great bunch of guys.They are really easy to deal with and know their stuff. They look after the most challenging jobs out there for example the New Brighton Pier. They work to ensure that the customer like a home owner has easy access to their home when the scaffolding is put together on site.
Upright Scaffolding has been going since the 1940's I am told which is a very impressive track record.
These guys want to work with the customer and sort any issues quickly and amicably. They have a very good team culture. One of the images is Chris standing by the vehicle. He is one of the directors who is very approachable and friendly guy.
I really do recommend these guys for your scaffolding requirements.
