β β β β β My mother took her beloved dog in to be checked by the vet (we knew she didn't have long) and she was told the dog would have to be put down. That was fine however his attitude was completely dismissive and lacked compassion on a sociopathic scale. When we asked how long she had before she'd have to be put down he became irritated and almost angry that we were wanting to spend as long as we could be before we had to say goodbye to our pet. In the end we went to a vet in Taradale and the experience couldn't have been better. Avoid this place at all costs.

β β β β β Helen came out to our block today. She is awesome. Helen gave good advice and added to my knowledge bank. She was patient, didn't just dismiss my opinion or concerns, but gave her honest opinion too.
She was extremely helpful around the young lambs and feeding them and has definitely increased their chances at life.
Camille has previously been out to us and she is also great, with my animals and me!
Thanks to both of you.

β β β β β These people are extremely over the top with their billing anxieties. We have been constantly hassled for a bill UNDER $20 twice by phone and on the weekend... At least give us a fortnight till our next pay!!

β β β β β Took my 5 yr old foxy whom was showing signs of poisoning to This Vet in Hastings and the young trainee was very empathetic towards my dog. He was in a bad way and she kept saying beforehand that there is a lot of Kennel Cough around. My dog wouldnβt let her open his mouth so asked if she could sedate him. I said ok and that way they could check him over well. Her later verdict was surprisingly so called kennel cough?? I Knew What Kennel Cough Was. So away we go with medication which did make him better. After medication finished few weeks later he worse. I go back saying I want bloods done etc the vet treats me like a fool refuses and sends me off with more medication. Few weeks after that he even more worse eyes popping out disoriented. I take him to second opinion he had Meningitis!! The clowns.! I must say the second opinion were the best.

β β β β β Our much loved dog Teddy had an accident. He was sedated, x-rayed and a tube inserted to extract blood for testing. The x-ray showed a break, a possible tumor in his right hind leg and his left hip did not look good either. They gave me 2 options 1. Put him down 2. Amputate his broken leg. Catrin Davies said he would not survive the trauma and she strongly advised me to put him down. I refused to give up or put him down. They gave him pain relief for 3 days and said I have that long to decide before the pain relief wore off. Devastated I took Teddy home and phoned our dog groomer. She got me on to an animal physio, Sarah who immediately came to our home to assess him. She noted how capable he was with his movement and questioned why they had not cast or supported his broken leg. She advised me to return immediately to have them cast it. I made an appointment with them the next day. I also made an appointment with Clive Cottage Vets to have them amputate Teddyβs leg as that vet came highly recommended. When I returned to Vet Services, Neil Stuttle spoke to me and said he agreed with Catrin. He refused to cast our dog as he felt it would be a waste of time.
I went to Clive Vets, they treated him as an emergency and after seeing the condition he was in they operated the next day.
Thanks to the team in Clive, Sarah at Animal Physio and Roberta at Whisper Soft, Teddy is very much alive, strong and living his best life.
