★ ★ ★ ★ ★ EDIT after response from Venue: The Venue responding with more lies to try and cover up the situation. We ONLY stayed the remaining 3 nights because we could not afford accommodation for that many people elsewhere after paying $1300 for 4 nights at Victory (and it's a good thing too, because clearly they would not have refunded us if we had chosen to stay elsewhere!) The music continued until 1:30AM, not 11PM, (which we have proof of) and we were only refunded for HALF of the night that we had the issue with.
Staying at the Victory Apartments was the worst accommodation experience I have ever had. The host booked a massive, raging party on the floor below us without our knowledge, and we were kept awake by loud music and bass that shook the floor and rattled the furniture and walls from 7pm to 1:30AM. Whoever runs the Facebook page for Victory said that the event was only permitted to run until 11pm.

When we contacted the host, she lied to us and told us that it was supposed to be a "Silent Disco" and that she would send a manager down to do something about the music volume (the volume was NEVER lowered and it was extremely loud.) She continued lying to us until ultimately she just ignored our messages and phone calls. Whoever runs the Facebook page for Victory said that the event was only permitted to run until 11pm. We (7 people staying in the apartment) were kept awake for hours into the night when we all needed to be up early in the morning.

When we requested a refund for that night, the host at first tried to deny our claim, and then opted to only refund around HALF of the cost of that night, citing lies to justify it (she said we attended the party, even though we did not. Two of us went down to try to talk to someone at the door about the noise and were not even let into the party by security, which we have video proof of.)
I have never had to deal with this much greed and deception in a stay, and I travel often. I would never recommend anyone to use this location for accommodation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worst experience I have EVER had with paid accommodation.
Myself and a group of friends booked one of the Victory Venue apartments to stay in for an event we'd spent months looking forward to. Several of us were working at this event, and we all needed to be up very early in the morning to get ready to attend.
Without notifying us and without even telling us that Victory Venue also has a hired space directly below our rented apartment, Victory booked a huge party below us on the same night. We spent six hours, 7pm-1am, with the entire apartment literally SHAKING, unable to watch television or even have proper conversations let alone get any sleep. A couple of members staying with us are very sensitive to this kind of thing, and as we were stuck in an unfamiliar city with nowhere else to go, they had no choice but to sit through this enormous noise and went into sensory overload panic attacks.
Despite trying numerous times to contact the host, the manager of the venue, and air bnb, they have refused to respond to us and have also refused to refund us for that horrible night. I and two other members of my group were so exhausted from being kept awake that we had to leave and miss out on the event we'd spent so long looking forward to.
The way Victory Venue treated us and has continued to treat us throughout this process has been absolutely disgusting. They made a mistake in double booking with such a disruptive event and won't own up to it. Victory Venue, I am really revolted that you think you have the right to take $1,300 of our money for such a horrible experience. Take responsibility for yourself and own up to your mistakes.
The owner of the Victory Venue, upon being first contacted, lied to us and said the event was meant to be a silent disco. They also told me that the manager was on site and was asking the party to turn the music down. When I went down to talk to the people running the event, they said that it had never been a silent disco, and told me that the manager hadn't been on site the entire night. The owner then became unresponsive when I relayed this information to them.
I would not recommend renting the Victory apartments or using their venue, both are a waste of your time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We used Victory Venue and both associated Victory apartments for a three day work function. The Venue is trendy, upbeat and tidy and provided all we needed (space, technology and equipment, catering facilities). A fabulous asset to the city-center.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a lovely stay at Victory 1. Have stayed on two occasions. The first time with a group of friends for two nights, and the second time with the whole family (including my parents) - there's just that much room! Beautiful open space in main living area with modern industrial feel, and 5 bedrooms. With two shower/toilet rooms (essential when you are staying as a crowd). Well equipped kitchen. Good communication too - we had a little leak the second time when we stayed and it was sorted quickly. Really friendly hosts. Highly recommend - I will be booking again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Victory hosted the launch event for ManawaTech (~120 people). Food was amazing (so many different tasty things). Tech infrastructure worked well (sound system, data projector, wifi). Building and fit out are classy: tidy, interesting, comfortable, well suited to purpose. Had an excellent time. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 10/10 - This venue is amazing. Hands down the best venue in Palmerston North. The decor is very chic and the space was perfect for our recent event. Both Lydia and Karin were great to deal with an so patient with all of my questions and request. The loft apartment is also amazing and a perfect place to stay while having an event down stairs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love this place. A great layout and everything is there. Very clean and the manager is super helpful and totally organised. Lots of space, a good kitchen and large back of bar area so easy to setup. With the bonus of an apartment upstairs available to rent for the night. Highly recommend as a venue for any function including weddings.
