★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered a $10 coffee and scone combo yesterday - my (until then large tasty and nice red pesto? or containing lengths of red pepper / savoury? scone) had a LONG THICK BLONDE HAIR IN IT...absolutely TOTALLY disgusting and just not good enough. Had been enjoying the food until then, its really really gross. The hair was threaded throughout the mixture it was so long and thick. The woman at counter had shoulder length brown bob so you have a cook somewhere who doesn't at all follow good food hygiene practices. ----- Also re your lame response re do I have the right cafe??!! Are you kidding???? Are you not at 581 Waiau Pa Road with the lean to with green walls adjacent to gift shop and the petrol station, with white couches etc, touted as vintage? I see you have updated your response trying to gaslight me about the hair, insane. its you and you know it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ridiculously expensive food & drinks! The taste is good, not something extraordinary. But the worst part is that they are out of most food by 1pm most of the time. That's insane! At least have food till like 3 or 4pm like most cafes. The ONLY reason this place has so many positive reviews is cause this is the ONLY local cafe. People really don't have a choice. But if you're from any other part of Auckland or NZ (or the rest of the world) stopping by, STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE. It's really not worth it. That's me being 100% honest ?

Yes! Your Cafe is more expensive than others. A regular chocolate milkshake costs $4.5 at most cafes, yours is $6.5~$7.5!
I never said other cafes have filled cabinet food till closing time. But they are willing to make a fresh panini or sandwich for you if they are out of stock. YOUR staff on the other hand can't even be bothered to ask for the same. They just keep saying "sorry, that's for tomorrow"! Even a whole HOUR before closing time! That's just lazy, not something to be proud of!
And yes, the closest Cafe to you is in Clark's Beach about 6km away. I wouldn't call it local exactly. Have you ever been to towns, where they have cafes literally next to each other or right across the street?? That's local. All the houses around that fuel station you're located next to, only have you as their option.
I still stand by my review of your "Vintage" cafe! ?
