Pre purchase inspection not worth the $$. Our inspector was disinterested and wouldn’t elaborate on how he got the test results and what they meant. Also didn’t pick up on a worn CV joint which was quite obviously clicking. Compression test came back bad but so did the battery. Have since at a compression test which showed all clear and was told that a low battery could cause bad results. Inspector should know these basic things? Go elsewhere.

One place we will never use again. $50 surcharge because our motorhome is over 15 years old. That's a 1st for us. No respect for our motorhome, drove onto brake rollers on 3rd gear, slipped the clutch in 3rd gear to get bus off rollers. When we made a comment, we were told to zip it, and that he could make it difficult for us, which he did. Then very bluntly told us to go and wait in the waiting room. He failed us on numerous things that we have never had an issue with before, eg reflectors, tow bar, front clearance lights, these have passed every other time, and has had several cofs. The only thing that maybe an issue is an exhaust manifold loose or leaking, is it loose or leaking no idea, no explanations given. Just handed some print outs. Will stick with VTNZ

Went to VINZ (4pm ish) after long queues at VTNZ Hanover st. Greeted well by the lady at the reception counter. My first experience to get WoF in Dunedin (used to live in Auckland for 16years). There was only one vehicle being inspected. Saw my car inspected a few minutes after paying fees. Had nice hot chocolate from the machine. 4.30 I saw my car driven out of the inspection area out to the carpark. The inspector looked at me from outside an indicated to me that he need 2 more minutes. 5 minutes later, the same inspector knocked on the glass wall near where I was sitting indicated for me to go out. Wouldn't it be more proper to talk to me properly instead of knocking on the glass wall? Simple customer service there. I went out, the inspector told me my call failed warrant because of the head lights was too high (or too low?) But he adjusted that for free. So I passed. Eh? He was literally shouting at me, I wasn't sure why, as the area wasn't noisy so I would be able to hear him well even if he talked softly (a bit of manners there). He told me off for parking at the parking area, I checked with the nice lady at reception if it's okay to leave my car there and she said yes it's okay. But this chap told me off (or at least that was how he made me feel). Good I won't have to do another warrant for another year.

A+ inspection shop, Took my car through for green sticker inspection, first dude was good was more or less a normal Warrent and left me feeling optimistic about repairs, took it back the next day on the Saturday(different inspector) n was met with bit of a disgruntled attitude towards my green sticker inspection, stigmatized and judged The 2nd inspector added on extra repairs to my vehicle, he made me feel like a boy racer and personalized my inspection basically, completely unnecessary as the driver isn't actually part of the inspection. To his avail I had my vehicle back in the line before lunch sat and all items repaired, closing at lunch he reluctantly passed it and literally pushed it out the door lol ? good as tho I'll be back for another coffee
