★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I booked an appointment at this salon and told the stylist Ben that I had been growing my natural silver hair out for the last 9 months. I told him that I wanted to grow it long after cutting off some of the brown dyed bits. Unfortunately, Ben was not supportive of my transition and even told me that I would look “old” with long gray hair, asking me “why are you doing this?” He seemed bewildered that I was growing out my natural platinum hair color. He was perpetuating the outdated message that gray hair equals old, and that aging is something that is undesirable and should be fought against.
I didn’t need to explain to him that I’d rather be a mature woman embracing my silver hair than attempting in vain to look younger to meet an arbitrary beauty standard. Also, I’m done with the time consuming and expensive process that involves dumping potentially toxic and carcinogenic chemicals on my head and generates wasteful plastic.
I would not return to this stylist or salon or recommend them given Ben’s lack of support and his negative attitude. Even though I’m sure Ben is financially invested in keeping women feeling scared and shameful about covering their gray hair, he is pushing judgment and outdated thinking by saying things like “you’ll look old”. If Ben has a 22 year old client come in and say she wants to dye her long hair silver gray, would he tell her she would look “old”? Why would he say this to someone in their 40s? Ben needs to wake up to the times and realize silver does not equal old.
Authenticity should be embraced, not shamed. And a stylist should support a client’s wishes. Maybe next time Ben will think about that before he espouses his views with a new client or is faced with a women who is considering growing out her gray hair without using color.
Moreover, the cut he gave me was way shorter than we discussed and somewhat haphazard. I plan to return to another salon to have it fixed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Adrianna cut and coloured my hair. What a genuinely lovely person she is, and also a talented colourist and stylist. I was blown away with the result. She took her time to get it right and paid attention to my preferences. Ben, the Manager was welcoming and friendly and tried hard to accomodate my needs. I will be happy to return again. Thank you Vivo team

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My experience at Vivo Hairdressers was "The Best"!! Why? As I walked in the door, first thing I saw was Ben's warm friendly smile. He greeted me with such great kindness. Definitely a people's person. Customer service is a big deal to me. He understood what I wanted and absolutely delivered it. I was so fascinated at his Technics of cutting hair, absolutely blown away. I was well looked after. Advice was given. I was well heard. So Thank you Ben for looking after my needs, I feel fabulous with my new look. Also the team at Vivo are amazing too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well I have to say first of all the lovely Stylist was friendly and professional .... however I do feel let down and conned with the “first time client packages Vivo offer”, yes they say on their website extra charges may apply for longer, thicker hair or extra product required, but I really didn’t expect my average shoulder length hair to cost WAY more than the $199 package of full head of foils (and I highly doubt anyone will ever get it at that price!) Long story short it ended up costing more than $199 for half a head of foils and no olaplex treatment. I truely believe it’s unfair advertising and they put people in a difficult position once they are seated in the salon. I understand this was NOT The stylists fault. The colour wasn’t quite as I expected, they offered another toner but that’s about as far as they will go to put it right. The Vivo experience wasn’t as it should be.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely amazing experience at Vivo. Both my daughters had their hair cut and coloured by Ben. My eldest got a perfect balayage and cut that was recommended by Ben, it was not only age appropriate but very flattering for her face shape.
My youngest went for a cut and pink hair and it looks absolutely amazing. Ben wasn’t happy when he first finished it so he went to work to perfect it and he did!
The attention to detail and final product is outstanding. The welcoming atmosphere and the friendliness of the entire team is just so lovely. We were made to feel at ease and they do go the extra mile. Will not go to another salon, we have found our forever salon

Not a single face mask in sight......despite it being an orange covid setting requirement.....Didn't bother actually going in when I saw that.
