★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The focal point in lnvercargill where there are New Years eve celebrations and bands sometimes play there. The clock tower and main block of public rest rooms are located there. There is also seating available where people often go for lunch. Quite popular with students.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They have tried to make this a "City square". Regrettably the building to the north blocks out the Sun so it is not conjugative to relaxing in.
It is surrounded by a fast food restaurant and good public toilets.
It has a historical clock and it's workings can be viewed in a glass cabinet.
