★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best fish and chips I have ever had. I moved to this neighbourhood last year and I am still getting my weekly fish and chips Friday. Only last week did I appreciate the true quality. The store was closed at lunch so I had to go to the other takeaway store in Wadestown, but it was nowhere near as good. The chips, fish and burgers are always perfect. Highly recommend. Also the owner is one of the nicest people I have ever met.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had crumbed Tarakihi and chips. Probably the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. The fish was absolutely beautiful and the homemade chips were the same. The meal was lovely and dry and not greasy or oily in the slightest. I would make a 50Km detour to get these and will be doing a return trip from the Hutt in future when I want fish and chips!

Lovely hand-made chips or regular from frozen by Mr Chip, I assume, who are also a great brand. Everything you could want from a TAKEAWAY as advertised.
Occasionally the fryer oil is a little lower quality (not every day fresh) but that's to my taste and you can expect them to turnover 500L of canola every two days for a small store.
Prompt and friendly staff, good food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very poor fish & chips tonight - terakihi fillets so small, uncharacteristly greasy and pre-cooked chips only just warm and very tough - nothing fresh about this serving tonight. Disappointing- we will not be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fish was delicious and you could tell it was fresh. Loved the homemade chips, they were a bit dry but that was probably because I was late to pick them up. Parking is scarce, so you might have to park down the road on a busy Friday/Saturday night. Also the potato fritter was a literal 10/10, probably the best I’ve ever had.
