★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place perfect for kids. We managed to catch a bunch of Crey fish in our pots and a heap of gurnard is n the lines . Dolphins came up to the boat as well!! Great swimming beach with good surf .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went here to surf after being recommended to go by my friend Liam. I rented surfing boards from Ed at the campsite nearby. He is a wonderful fella. Waves were good but strong currents and wind made it a bit difficult. The lifeguards were in place until 5 pm. The sand is fine (in terms of caliber ie. it's high quality). I hereby conclude this comprehensive review and wish you the best of luck. Don't drift away to sea!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice beach, good sand unlike Napier's beaches in town. Has surf lifeguards, toilets, playground, and picnic tables so it's a good spot for families. Plenty of space for car parking too on the grass. Must visit for those in the bay or even those from out of the bay.
