★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome kept field. A credit to the groundsman and all the club's that use it. Nicest field that we have been to this season. My daughter had a great goalie training session last Sunday and the weather was fine and the pitch was perfect. Well done Waipuna!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an amazing hidden gem tucked into the middle of the city. Extensive variety of walkways, some areas are quite steep so you need to be reasonably fit to tackle them. Otherwise take your time to enjoy the flora, fauna and some very mature trees are beautiful. The waterfall is worth the time to look for it so please do. Have fun and take a packed lunch :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely stunning in any weather! Well kept park, lush grass, good toilet facilities, plenty of picnic beaches. Popular with dog walkers. Tons of parking. Small kids playground by carpark. Walnut Grove is beautiful

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lots of space and good for picnics, sport, picnics and playground (good for a wide range of ages and abilities). It gets quite busy on weekends with school sport and would be hard to use during these times, but the rest of the time it's very large and you can easily have your own space to ay.
Dog walking is common on the park including so e people who walk off leads so be mindful of that if your child is anxious with dogs.
Recently started "Pipi's Pantry" is a great addition - a cool little cafe with great coffee, food and the iced drinks are particularly special. Not bad prices either.

There is a coffee shop selling lots of tasty treats most days. A great place for walking and exercising your dogs too, with lots of rubbish bins available for doggie poo bag disposal.

It's summer at the moment, & i just enjoyed walking under the shade of the walnut grove.
The sportsfields are kept nice & low too, if u want to bounce the ball for your dog.
