A great walk along the tracks we do it every day we can. Meet lots of people and dogs that they walk. We seem to come across something different every time we go for our morning walk.

12kms of well-maintained park lands and dual walking-cycling trails either side of a creek. I ride this area frequently and enjoy the ambience and friendliness of people...

One of the best places to walk, bike, and relax (other than the beach!) in the Papamoa Beach area. This park is a large linear park that extends along the banks of a storm water management system that runs through the center of Papamoa. There are flat and wide, well developed and well maintained trails with views of the water along both sides of the waterway for almost the entire length of the park with bridges to join the trails at multiple points along the way. You can access the trails at multiple points along the main roads, or at walkways that extend through the residential areas. There are good sign markers along the trails with distances to adjacent roads, or distance to the beach from the trail. When you are walking on the north side trails, you can reach the beach easily at the beach access trails, and it is only about 500 meters away. There are many bird species and other wildlife to observe while you walk, also. Many locals use these trails for commuting to schools, stores, or restaurants on bikes or on foot to avoid the traffic on the roads. It’s also a popular place for runners and dog walkers. No motorized vehicles are allowed. We have been enjoying this park and these trails on daily walks every time we visit Papamoa Beach, and I would recommend that you take the time to explore this unique linear park when you visit!

Nice area for a walk or run. There's a bit of shade and best thing for a summer jog... No kamikaze seagulls
