About Wairarapa Machinery Services
Wairarapa Machinery Services Ltd was established in 1983 when we merged with Solway Tractors. Two years later we moved from our Villa Street premises to our current location at 315 High Street on the south boundary of Masterton.
Of the five original shareholders, only Tony Candy and Bill Cook have continued on in the business and have made Wairarapa Machinery Services what it is today.
From taking on the John Deere Agency in 1983, when they had very little presence in the Wairarapa region, the team at Wairarapa Machinery have made John Deere a market leader. Many other implement franchises are held including, McIntosh Brothers, Vogel, Duncan, and Maxxam. Their range of tractors, implements and lawn care hold a strong market share.
