★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good walk when nice weather and can be very windy. Went there fishing and it seems to be very popular spot. Please don't swim in the river even it looks quite, but you can be surprise with very strong current.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ need more of these historic sites. so much research could be done to promote the scenery in Hawkes Bay for tourism. these well presented setups are vital attractions for active foreigners who come here fascinated by the history and accessible by the bike tracks is key to connecting all the dots great pun too ! . this place is rich in history, WE NEED TO TELL A GREAT STORY about the ancient indigenous and European interactions, tales, urban legends, stories, personal accounts of famous and infamous figures known and not known to "enrich the pitch"! add more ancient Pa sites, battle grounds, famous events and conversations to the circuit.. and all the tracks need to connected! tourists should be able to cycle from as far as Waipatiki/Tangoio all the way to Waimarama! think BIG! come on HBRC! promote promote PROMOTE! sell it! sell the story
