★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Some one changed my Rego and a letter appeared in the mail of a new owner.
Rang NZTA 5 times now and waited between 2-5 hrs I have a ref number and sent back x 3 the information still awaiting a reply. Now into second week and no response very frustrating they are hiding behind a 0800 number that is a failed system as you cant reach them.
Time for NZTA to fix

First of all, for your RUBBISH contact center,
Waiting time on average before your call is attendended is 30 mins at least, got sick of the waiting tones.
Then someone will you transfer your call between the team over the over again. Nothing and Nobody was helpful.
Second, for your application team,
I sent an overnight courier on 10th March, confirm received on the 11th, then I was waiting for someone to get back to me soon.
A week after, I called to follow up, promised by the call center that someone will be in touch either the same day or day after, then nothing happened.
Called to follow up two weeks later, got told by the call center said they are too busy to start my application, which is crazy.
It took 22+ days for a government office to open the envelope!
Shame for the financial expenditures that paid by the taxpayers to be wasted on a department that's not functional.
