★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely setting, but service is all over the place. Our meals were delivered at all different times. Some had finished their meals before others had received theirs. Parking was very difficult too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Okay, I’ll bullet point this for ease:
1. They lost our confirmed reservation for Mother’s Day
2. They tried to seat us outside in the cold with unstable ground, even though we had two 90 year olds with us.
3. We ended up sorting the situation by pushing tables together and still hadn’t received an apology.
4. Our food took an age to come out. After seeing the rest of the food for our table come out and then be eaten, we decided to cancel our our order because most of the table had finished eating and our food hadn’t arrived. They told us our docket must be lost.
Whilst we were sat watching the food come out for other people we saw pancakes being made with bacon placed on top. We then heard ‘oops, these are for vegetarians’ and they took the bacon off the food. We are vegetarians ourselves and to see food that had been contaminated with meat and then still be served, we were really disgusted. We were glad we canceled.
5. We asked for some free drinks for the table as a good will gesture, they said they could give a coke each to the kids and one glass of wine. For a table of 10? Yeah, nah.
6. Our docket wasn’t lost, our food came out and we told them we had canceled the order. Chef and manager then have huge argument in the kitchen which bellows out into the cafe.
7. Still no apology from the manager
8. We left, hungry and annoyed.
Finally, we feel sad for the wait staff. They were all young and trying their best in a clearly understaffed and mismanaged cafe.
We won’t be going back and will be recommending to all of our friends not to bother too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having arrived at this cafe with a confirmed named reservation for an assigned time, we were dismayed to hear they had no record of such a booking. After showing the manager the written confirmation there was an attempt to find a table for our party of ten. No apologies were given.
Finally after much fussing by the manager, we arranged furniture ourselves, settled at the table and ordered our food. This took an absolute age to arrive which we were happy to forgive as they were very busy with it being Mother’s Day. However, whilst eight dishes came out very sporadically two never turned up as they had ‘lost the docket’. We cancelled these as by now everyone else had finished their meals. Again, no apologies to acknowledge this appalling service.
We found that the food that did arrive was tasty and reasonably presented. We will however never return and will actively encourage others not to bother with this venue. When venues make mistake after mistake it would be to their benefit to apologise and endeavour to make things right. Sadly this was not forthcoming.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really enjoyed the food here. I had the creamy mushrooms with bacon and it was absolutely delicious.
It was lovely to sit outside in the sun. They had umbrellas up over the table too.
The children's area & swing needs to be cleaned up also.
I haven't given 5 stars due to the rubbish on the grounds (not much but bottle cap and a drawing pin were found).
It would be ideal if this place had some spacing stickers on the floor inside Cafe as it was very crowed when placing an order with no social distancing.
Some clear signs to show entry and exit for the Cafe would work well too.
But we would definitely come back again and I highly recommend this lovely spot for a meal. I'm keen to try their coffee and a shake next time as they looked good.
