Club Metro was formed in 2018 as an Amalgamation of the Wanganui Returned & Services Association and Wanganui Cosmopolitan Club. Both clubs bring a rich history, playing key roles in Wanganui society for over 100 years, and a new strength in our unity.

β β β β β This is a club establishment and the restaurant area has been tastefully decorated.
Very spacious surroundings and welcoming staff.
There are desserts on display in a cold cabinet and you order at the counter and when your individual buzzer beeps- you can collect.
However the food was not good.
schnitzel was chewy and overlooked.The roast vegetables appeared to be from the day before and the tacos only had about a few spoons mince no flavour and drowned in sour cream.
Room for improvement.

β β β β β Had my Mother-in-laws 80th birthday here. A very good meal of a generous serving size. Service was generally good except the bar lady who a number of people had a rude experience with her. We would go back again as everyone had a great time.

β β β β β I cannot speak more highly of our experience here . The service was outstanding . Our daughter has alot of food allergies and they went over an above for her . Special thanks to Taru for her amazing personality. Her kindness and understanding. As I work in a restaurant I understand how busy and hard it is to accommodate everyone and she has done this with ease . The food was amazing and all the staff were fantastic. From a worried and over paranoid mum . I just want to thank you all so much xx

β β β β β I went there (to the RSA) to volunteer to sell poppies for the RSA. I loved the special dΓ©cor; clearly a lot of work had gone into the display for ANZAC day. Excellent work folks!!
