Webber Building likes to encourage all our clients to think about sustainable building practices.

These methods start at the very beginning, from choosing your building site, design of the building, building materials to be used, right through to maintenance. All of these approaches will determine the efficiency of energy, water and resource use, which will lessen the environmental impact of the construction process. 

I went straight into the construction industry from school at the age of fifteen. I worked and studied for five years to gain my Advanced City and Guilds qualification in Carpentry and Joinery.

Once qualified I set up my own carpentry contracting company, which I ran successfully for three years. I then took a break from full time work and travelled extensively around the world for 5 years.

On returning to the industry I decided to go into the management side of the business and joined a multinational construction company in London. Whilst working for this company I gained a recognised certificate in construction management and slowly worked my way up the management ladder.

For ten years I worked on various projects from hospitals and schools to top end residential homes including a palace.

On leaving London I was a Construction Manager on a multimillion dollar high rise residential project with over 200 people under my command.

Since arriving in Taranaki I have set up home in Oakura with my wife and have a young son and daughter. One of the first things I did was to register my company with the Certified Builders Association of New Zealand,  the only construction association in New Zealand where every member has to be trade qualified. I also hold a Licensed Building Practioner Certification.

I am enjoying the daily tasks of running my business while also finding time to participate in family life and my passion of surfing.
