About Wellington Garage Doors
All of us at Wellington Garage Doors believe in total commitment to customer service with no broken promises. The business was started in 1980 as Aluminium Installations trading as Garador Wellington from Greata Point and we purchased it from Ray Treadaway in 1986. We stayed at Greta Point for four more years then moving to 7 Glover Street in Ngauranga for 14 years. We then moved to our current location at 31 Jarden Mile, Ngauranga in 2005.

- In December 2010 Mark Philpott joined the company as Head of sales and coordinates all sales and installations. We also have eight staff who install and carry out repairs. You may have seen our sign-written utes driving around Wellington.
- We have a fully operational and open showroom at 31 Jarden Mile Ngauranga, showing all the styles and panels for all doors. You are invited to visit anytime during business hours: Monday to Friday 7.00a.m. to 4.00p.m.

We originally contacted them because our friends had a double garage door installed and liked the service and found the price good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shocking service from the sales rep. He was as arrogant as they come. It's unfortunate I've had to write this poor review, it's only justified that I warn others. I hope the sales rep I dealt with isn't the owner of the firm, it would speak volumes about their professionalism (or not so)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After a few months living in our newly built townhouse, our garage door malfunctioned (with normal regular use). It was due to the fact that the trolley track was not held securely, it was bolted onto gib instead of a solid surface. Eventually it was torn apart and the garage door wouldn't operate automatically. I talked to Brendon to arrange for repair immediately which he was able to slot a date and time within a few business days. The service repair crew arrived on time as promised and found the issue and fixed the problem by welding the end of trolley track onto an existing metal bracket to ensure it holds securely. This immediately fixed everything and garage door operated (automatic mechanism) as it should. The repair didn't take very long and thankful for the no call-out fee.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When there was something broken or not working in the house, it’s always stressful because we don’t know who really can fix it; and we might be over-charged for the job. Last Friday night, our automatic garage door was jammed. A very bad timing as it’s hard to find someone to fix anything during weekend. On Monday morning, I called Wellington Garage Door, the company I used for installation before. Brendon answered my call, a great communicator. I guess repairing a garage door is a small job. He however patiently spent more than 10 minutes over the phone, trying to answer all my queries. He was kind enough to squeeze Bob, the technician, in the next morning because of my concerns that the pouring rain would flood my garage. Bob’s performance totally exceeded our expectations. He identified the problem right away. During the repair, he had answered at least 3 calls from his office but he kept doing the work on hand simultaneously. After finishing the repair, while he was servicing the door, he taught us how to look after our garage door. I have never seen a tradesman so hardworking, efficient and multi-tasking as Bob, who is a big asset to his company and customers. This was one of those times we were happy to pay for the bill – a reasonable cost for such superb customer services from start to finish.

If and when I do need a new door I will be calling these guys as I'm genuinely impressed with their service and communication. Cheers!
