The Laundry

Wellington Laundry Services Ltd was founded in 1997 in Cleveland Street, Brooklyn.  Since then, we have been a leader in the provision of commercial laundry services to a diverse range of clients in the greater Wellington area.  In 2012, Wellington Laundry Services acquired its new 2,400 square meter premises in Gracefield, Lower Hutt and made a significant investment in our machinery.  This has provided our company with greater stability than many of our competitors and provided us with considerable space for expansion.

Over the years, we have worked with many of Wellington’s finest hotels and restaurants ensuring the cleanest, whitest linens are on display for their guests and diners.

Wellington Laundry Services provide a comprehensive linen hire and laundering service that ensures a greater level of quality without the need for an expensive capital outlay for your business.

The People

Peter George

As the founder and owner of Wellington Laundry Services, Peter has worked in a hands-on role with the laundry.  Not only will you find Peter managing the overall business and being your first point of contact, but he can often be found on the factory floor assisting the team while ensuring the laundry’s excellent quality control systems are functioning.

Peter has several decades of entrepreneurial experience including the ownership of several of Wellington’s function centres such as The Greenstone Room and The Flamingo.  As such, Peter understands the importance of clean linen in a service business and is in an excellent position to understand the key concerns of business owners and managers in choosing suppliers.

Kyriakos George

Kyriakos has been with the Wellington Laundry Services since its inception in a variety of roles.  He is currently the Operations Manager of the laundry and has an intimate understanding of the laundering process.  Kyriakos’ considerable experience in managing the floor operations of the business has made him an expert in the industry.

Kyriakos is responsible for all aspects of the laundry cycle from the taking of orders from customers by phone or our delivery staff through the wash cycle and packing.  Kyriakos pushes his staff to achieve a high quality of output ensuring your linen expectations are not only met but exceeded.

The Team
