★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ridiculous hours during the week turned up at 2:30 when the person was shutting the gates and got turned away saying these are council hours. Fortunately Waihi has much more sensible hours and much friendlier staff.

Could do with a site warning sign on the north bound lane for foreigners.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a mixed load of green and building waste from a big clean up around our property which i was dumping as general waste due to the fact is was mixed, only to be told they cant tak any concrete blocks etc. so had to sort the waste at the transfer station before dumping and reload traler latking a lot of it home again! A major PITA. Surely when paying by weight and stuff is smallish, old bricks and small lumps of concrete you should be able to dump it??
