Our holiday park is your first step to unwinding in beautiful Whanganui. Located only 8km from the city centre. Set up camp or stay in one of our many cabins or motel units; we have accommodation for every budget! 3 Acres of beautiful park-like grounds, adjacent to a large adventure playground and of course….the beach!
Laze around and enjoy our amazing BBQ complex, complete with a large outdoor fireplace, swimming pool and sauna. Our communal showers and toilets have been fully renovated in August 2020.
Our friendly team are dedicated to making your stay relaxing and enjoyable. We look forward to seeing you all soon!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great facilities, free hot/cold showers, clean toilets and kitchen. Swimming pool well maintained. Easy access to dump station for motorhomes.
The Citadel is an excellent cafe adjacent to campground. Take away and dine-in.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent park and spotless facilities c/o Phil who knows his stuff. We enjoyed our stay at the park and Wanganui in general, but out of all the camping grounds we've visited, Seaside Holiday Park is by far the best managed and kept.
Will be sad to see some of the proposed changes and possible sale go through. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great little camp ground, close to the beach (which is also a great spot for watching the sunset). Our cabin had all we needed when combined with the good kitchen facilities.
Quite far from Whanganui town centre which didn’t bother us.
Toilets were clean, showers were not push button but depending on which one you chose the spray wasn’t always the best, normal for camping though.
I would come back if I was staying in Whanganui again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ easy short walk to beach, lovely convenient store, and cafe/restaurant across the street. clean camp and quiet neighbourhood. stayed here for one night on a road trip, friendly staff gave us a wonderful place. we did not use the pool, due to a windy cold evening, but looked great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My girlfriend & I were fortunate to book Driftwood Cottage for 4 nights. We are Wellingtonians. This is our first time at this Holiday Park. It is a great Holiday Park, for campers (who want to pitch their tents), and for those who are not into pitching tents (like me, my girlfriend likes camping and pitching tent), there are cabins to choose from, depending on the group size. The communal facilities are close and handy, to our cabin, and they are clean & tidy. Our cabin has the very basic kitchenette, which is great, as it meant we did not have to use the communal kitchen facility. I had the opportunity to chat to the camp manager Phil - thank you Phil, keeping the place safe. I would definitely recommend this Holiday Park. Definitely a thumbs up for this Holiday Park. And it is about 5 minutes walk to the beach, glistening black sand.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably one of the cleanest communal toilet/shower area I've seen (out of the 10 campgrounds I've been to) in North Island.
Kitchen facilities are good (baking trays, pots and pans available).
Nice and friendly receptionist/host.
Only negative (through no fault of the campground) is some of the noisy boy racers at night around the area.
Less than 5 min walk to the beach, would happily stay here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An excellent, family friendly holiday park. The grounds and facilities are very clean and tidy. The current manager does a really good job. He makes sure this is a safe, friendly, and clean place. You will often see him out and about in the park making sure everyone and everything is as expected. The only thing I would like to see changed in the future would be a hot water boiler on the wall in the kitchen instead of using jugs.
