Welcome to Willowbank Primary School. We are a leading (ERO review 2015) primary school catering for children from Year 0 to Year 6, located in the South East Auckland communities of Dannemora and East Tamaki Heights, Willowbank Primary School is a large, multi-cultural school catering for the learning needs of children from Year 0 (5 years of age) to Year 6 (11 years of age). Our school vision of Discover, Develop, Nurture underpins everything we do, ensuring children feel welcome and valued, and are actively engaged participants in their own learning.
Using the New Zealand Curriculum to frame our curriculum delivery, children at Willowbank learn through an inquiry based approach. They are encouraged to explore concepts and ideas by posing questions, investigating and researching, seeking answers and taking action to develop understanding and meaning. Staff work collaboratively across all year levels to best meet the educational and pastoral needs of all learners.
