★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Finally found a good chippy in our area. Just had the best fish n chips! . The gurnard from the cabinet was so fresh and cooked perfectly. The chips were excellent too. I'll be back as I am local ?

chips great. service good. shop very tidy.
only let down a little by minimal sauce on Hot dog.

Mussels and Oysters both good size. Burgers were tasty.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Size of the combo I got was great but I believe the pieces of fish were off and smelled strongly of ammonia. I ended up throwing away all fish and just ate the chips, they aren't open late so I couldn't get back to change the fish and couldn't be bothered the next day. Definitely won't go back as eating fish that's off will likely give you food poisoning.
When I wrote a review, the owner replied that he had sold fish that was okay on the same day however I never told them what day it was. They also tried to manipulate and persuade me to not leave a bad review which I believe is unethical. If you sell good food and are honest then you will get good reviews, if you don't then you will get bad reviews... Simple!
