★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Once the site was fenced off from the field, where cows and bulls grazed. This made it possible to grow planted native bushes and plants. Which would otherwise be eaten by livestock.
Over time, this section of the Wiri stream valley turned into a piece of old forest that once grew here.
The area is prone to flooding, so there is no chance it will ever be converted to residential or commercial property, and will remain a reminder of the ancient Woodside Bush that covered the valley.
