β β β β β Went along to have a tasting, pick our favourite wines and get a few bottles. It was super busy (understandable), we stood at the counter for 5 minutes and all staff members working ignored us. Finally as we were about to leave, we were told by someone they'd be with us soon. Would have appreciated being acknowledged earlier, but again they were busy.
When they got around to serving us, we asked if we could have a tasting. We'd done this at other wineries (who were also busy) that day without any issues - they just explained they were too busy to give us the full experience - so we expected a similar result.
The staff member then told us "We're not doing tastings, we're only focused on the restaurant. You can get a glass of wine you want."
Given their primary business is wine, this seemed incredibly odd - especially as other wineries close by could accommodate us. We decided to leave and had a great experience at St. Clair instead.

β β β β β Such a great time at Wither Hills! We did a wine tasting with Sophie, who was so informative and happy to answer all our silly questions. She made us feel so comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed all the wines we tasted (buying 3 bottles out of 4 tried). The winery is so beautiful and can easily wile away an afternoon. An absolute must visit!

β β β β β Nina, Sophie, and Ruben made our lunch date so pleasant and enjoyable. We had the asparagus, farfalle pasta, and potatoes. The wine flight of barrel aged Sav Blanc, Rarangi Sav Blanc, and Rose were bright and floral. Dessert was a glass of sparkling Frivoli. Great experience we love Wither Hills!

β β β β β Such an amazing place!! We arrived without booking and the staff friendly helped us to find a table on the beautiful restaurant.
We decided to try the sharing menu for 2 and it was the best idea. The entrees were amazing with glazed couliflower popcorn and grilled eggplant perfect in any way, mains were great size for sharing, juicy hanger steak, garlicky potatos, salad and dukkah couliflower "AMAZING", and to finish 2 nice desserts in perfect balance with all the food. The wine was on point, and I bought one bottle on the same premises.
Afterwards they invited us to check the terrace to with the amazing views overlooking the vineyards as well as checking the downstairs wine cellar.
I'll be back for sure.

β β β β β Opens everyday from 11:30am - 3pm for lunch.
You can enjoy a wide range of wine. We went there for lunch. The menu has a small selection but our dish was delicious. There is ample parking beside the main building. We were treated by a staff who checked our Covid vaccine pass. We would choose our own table. We chose to sit outside... The weather was beautiful and you could see the vineyards but you need to stand to see them. You can go to the tower and see the vineyard. Wish they had some sits up stairs so we can see the vineyards. Down the stairs there is basement where wine is kept in barrels. I do not know if wine is still in them or it is just for decorating the place. However, you can view it for free. Lunch is expected to be expensive at such places. Portion was less for me. There is a wide range of wine selection. You can also hire the venue for special functions ... Staff was very friendly.

β β β β β Wine tasting is $5 per head. You get to try 3 wines of your choice. Although they waive the charge if you buy a bottle. Sophie is a wine connoisseur!! She explained each wine to us in detail; also has a very bubbly personality. She didn't sound like a trainee at all!
The oysters were good too. Food is bit on the pricey side but you get to enjoy a lovely atmosphere and views.

β β β β β What a gorgeous winery! Absolutely worth visiting for the views alone - make sure you go all the way to the top of the main stairs for an incredible viewpoint over the area.
We had the set menu for lunch, and really enjoyed all of it. The carrots with olives and raisins particularly stood out (and I say that as someone who generally doesn't love carrots). Everyone working here was really kind and warm, and gave us really helpful advice on where to go while we're in the area. Overall a lovely experience, and I hope to get back to actually try the wines!
