★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a large and well-maintained public park where many sports are played, including football, rugby, cricket, tennis, and lawn billiards. The McCombs Memorial Lawns is home to the only lawn billiards pitch in the world. This ancient game was revived by members of the Woolston Lawn Billiards and Bat-and-Trap Society in 2009, and is played every Sunday during the playing season, which is from the first weekend in September to the last weekend in April.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s a really well looked after park, the trees are lovely and provide lots of shelter and the old brick fence surrounding the park certainly gives it a lovely historical feel. The only downside to the park are the toilets, they really are horrible, dark and usually unclean
