What we do
We teach modern Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in both the Gi (canvas uniform) and NoGi.
Jiu Jitsu is an efficient grappling martial art that is also a combat sport.
Many practitioners of Jiu Jitsu are drawn to it because of its effectiveness in fighting and self defence, but they stick with it because of how much fun it is to practise.

If you want to learn a mix of modern bjj and foundational techniques Workshop JJ is the club for you. Pat and Amy are also the nicest and welcoming people you'll meet. Workshop JJ is a fun & social club to be part of and new members will enjoy the relaxed nature of the training (no bowing or weird rituals). It's a rare opportunity to join a newly formed bjj club, with high level blackbelt coaches and a fun crew in Wellys so come get on the mats!

Workshop jujitsu is everything from a collaborative learning style of empathetic teachers who are always keen to experiment and adapt, to the inclusive and physiologically safe environment they’ve created. 10/10 would recommend. 5 stars.
