★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’m not usually one for bad reviews but wow. Everything about my experience was just not good at all this evening (March 10, 2022) I was hoping the food would make up for the 25 minute wait time and terrible service but my tacos are sooo overloaded with sauce that it is inedible. Additionally I especially ordered hard shell tacos and after 15 minutes of waiting I was informed there were no hard shells left and it will have to be soft shell… pretty annoying as I don’t particularly like soft shell and I wouldn’t have ordered as many tacos as I did if I had known. My order was shoved into a bag and it was so full it didn’t even close- just put it in two bags? Everything was upsized down so my food was pretty munched up when I got home. I’ve been here before and I raved to my friends about this place but I will not be going back. Seriously a terrible, terrible experience. Im out $60 with inedible tacos. RIP Zambrero Courtenay Place . Taco Bell gonna be my new spot from now on.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They say they give 10% to students but you have to have your ID card. I had a picture and proof of being a student on my phone but they wouldn’t take it. They were so unreasonable. Definitely won’t be going back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely ruined my evening. Went in to grab an easy dinner on the way home and it was absolutely disgusting. My food was the definition of soggy and watery, gross. And there was an older staff member there who was definitely bullying the other staff member, who was lovely and I felt so sorry for him. They also didn't ask to scan my vaccine pass which was super super dogdy, I'm pretty sure that's illegal. Overall very disappointing, I'd recommend anywhere else

The meat is now tasteless, the beans are 90% water, some staff have their masks under the chin (this same staff arent checking vaccine passes either). If you complain to them theyll yell at you. Used to be the best burrito in town, now just awful. If i could give 0 stars I would

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went here with my grandchildren and they really seemed to like the music. I got a pulled pork barrito with chipotle sauce. The meat was really tender with lots of flavor. And the staff super helpful with explained how to make what you want.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff were awesome, Becks was great. The food has dropped in quality very quickly. The beans and meat are now watery and not edible. Also the two new staff members made me feel uncomfortable, won't be back until something changes.
Edit: just emailed them and their response was horrendous, do not know how to treat customers with a valid complaint.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Experience is dependant on the whim of the server, as to how they pack the spoons and fill the burritos, nachos etc. I've had great meals and okay meals, but nothing terrible, and I haven't been served a horribly miserly meal lacking fillings and sauces like some reviews describe, but I could believe it happens given how varied my own experiences were. I've had delicious nachos and burritos and so-so nachos and burritos, served with smiles and with glum reluctance.
Props given for having a gluten free tortilla as an option (which is actually better than flour tortillas I remember eating in the past).
I suggest that to avoid the scathing reviews that keep cropping up for this Zambrero branch that the management regularly check on their staff's procedures and manner towards customers. What is the point of letting someone prepare an understuffed and tasteless burrito if it just results in angry customers who decide never to go back?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you guys will use Mexican words, such as "VERDE" referring to the sauce, please make sure the people working on this chain understand and know the pronunciation of it.
I'm from Mexico and this place is so disappointed:
1. Food is awful, no flavor
2. The guy working Saturday 28th at 11:50am does not have idea of the Spanish words he is pronouncing or hearing, please don't even use it if you guys don't have any idea!
