★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In March 2020 our company decided to upgrade its website to Zeald’s Zest 4 system for around $12000. By August, apart from dozens of developer errors and shoddy design, we noticed a fundamental problem with the new website in the build phase: it wouldn’t load the products correctly.
We alerted Zeald to the problem several times with screenshots, videos and emails. When we went live with our website in October, the problem still wasn’t fixed. At random, the website would not display the correct product: the URL and the product wouldn’t match.
Our company sales that October were a quarter of what we usually take – with a huge negative impact on our team. By the end of October, we had gone elsewhere with our website.
Our experience with Zeald in 2020 was so stressful, the errors made by their staff so appalling, we cannot understand how a company like this can operate in New Zealand. They insisted that we keep paying $700 per month until the end of November, even though we no longer had a website with them, and even though they had completely failed to deliver a workable product.
Prior to that, we had been with Zeald for 7 years. It used to be a great company, but do yourself a favour, and carefully read the 1* reviews for Zeald before you sign a contract with them.

Zeald had my site up within two weeks of my initial contact. I was stoked to get a free GEM site to get me up and running with zero outlay. The team gave us exceptional advice and customer support the whole way through the quite daunting process of redesigning our site. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we are VERY HAPPY with the design and customized aspects of our site and the positive feedback we've already received from our community of users. We were able to track how much we were spending each month so had peace of mind that we weren't going to go over the budget we'd agreed to spend. I also received some helpful training on how to use Word Press to update our site once it went live and as a complete novice I have found it easy to use. I've worked with many different organisations in the past and this is a truly WORLD CLASS organisation that deserves to prosper. I have no hesitation in recommending Zeald to people looking to create a professional, modern site for their business or organisation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So disappointed in the service from Zeald. I had high hopes but it seems they are more worried about collecting their $$ than actually providing the service to support smack businesses in already extremely difficult circumstances. While I was happy with the end result of my website it was 5 weeks past the quoted deadline and communication was horrible. In the end all they did was switch my site to a new Shopify theme and I haven't heard from them since the day it went live. In my contract I was somehow talked into 6 months of marketing strategy. Since September I have heard from them once. The Google ads they have created do not represent my brand in any way leading to no conversions and I have had zero reporting as how my thousands of dollars in investment are even returning. Yet I still receive bills. Im not one to write negative reviews but I wish I knew before going forward.
