About 3MI Engineering Limited
When Ashley left school all he wanted to do was be a dairy farmer, for over 10 years he worked in this sector in various roles gaining a wealth of experience and knowledge. He had always enjoyed the engineering side of farming and decided to do a welding course at the BOP Polytechnic leading to employment at a large truck building company learning invaluable skills. Then as many Kiwis do he moved to Australia chasing the money and lifestyle working for another truck building company in Brisbane. After some time home was calling and he moved back to New Zealand, settling in Tokoroa where Ashley’s family roots are. He started working for South Waikatio Precision Engineering and soon started an apprenticeship learning a diverse range of skills. Then a change of scenery called and Holster Engineering was it, here Ashley completed his apprenticeship. With the support of Holster Engineering and Ashley’s drive to be his own boss the 3MI Engineering concept was born.
