The puppy preschool was cute and some valuable insights are shared for new pup owners that I keep using this day.

Jan and her team really know their stuff. I have owned dogs for years but have still learnt so much this time round.

Just so we are clear, Jan offered a refund in her reply to my feedback and did not take steps to fulfilling the refund. She was never in contact, she didnt email she didnt call. Worst bit for her is I would decline any refund offered anyway. My feedback isnt about money. It's about my experience with her service which I would not recommend to anyone. Lastly it wasnt just the one off day which lead to my feedback, it was the entire course.

Just completed the Adult ABC's class and had an amazing experiences! the dog trainers are very kind and patient. The small group classes make for a lot more personalised training which really helped with our pup :) Would highly recommend!

We came here almost 2 years ago. I never thought I would ever be able to write a review. Jan you are intimidating to say the least. I read a review from another user on here who gave me the courage to speak up. You replied to her saying that you were not at your best that day. You were not at your best any time we came in. I had not had bad experiences in school but my husband has and he only attended once together with me. He was so stressed out by your yelling and telling people off that he said he feels all like back in school again. You said to our group that you don't memorize the handlers name so we were just the dogs person so in our case Sky's person. I understand you have lots of groups but buying some painters tape and a Sharpie and letting everyone make a name tag for themselves as they go in would make it much nicer as a start. I have until today not received two if the course pages. I was told I will be emailed them. There were not enough on the day for all the people attending and I missed out. I have emailed a few times and I asked every time I came but it was not possible to provide me with the training sheets. We have bought the wrong lead apparently and the wrong harness but instead of just telling us why a different one would be better it was very important to you to make us feel stupid for buying it before attending a course without asking a professional. Sky was and is a high energy dog with a really troubled background and your attitude towards the adults (and children) in the room made me nervous and I am sure that dogs can sense that. This course has made no impact on the dog whatsoever but it had one lasting one on us. This is not a one off thing this is the way you are made up Jan. You are not a people's person and you have talked rudely to your assistants in our course as well. When we did the introduction without you and only your assistants (and that was one of your long time ones) we were told to be warned that you can come across a bit rough but that you are a brilliant dog trainer. Maybe you want to have a staff meeting about this and think about how you could work on your people skills. We have bought several items at your little shop and every week we thought it might get better and that you were just in a bad mood but that wasn't the case. I'm not writing this because you offered the other lady a refund. I am writing this because it has been on my chest for a long time. I wish you all the best for your business and I hope you might be able to work on yourself a bit to make people more comfortable. It's not just about the dogs.

Ace training provide exemplary puppy training. The lessons are very very well run and structured and you are given a constant commentary of dog and puppy behaviour when the puppies are interacting so you really start to learn how to read situations and body language when you are out and about with your dog. Jan has an obvious passion for dogs and her dedication to her own ongoing learning that she brings to classes is obvious. I have attended a few sets of her classes now and it has really had an impact on my dog. I highly recommend this business to anyone with a new pooch or anyone having dog problems at home.

Jan was quite rude to her unpaid assistant who is just trying to get some work experience. She made my partner and I feel really uncomfortable with how she would speak to him. During the first lesson she expected us to wait 3 minutes for her to finish speaking before we could take our puppy to the grass for toileting. As if I can ask my 9 week old distressed puppy to hold their bladder. On one occasion she would repeat the instructions "pick up the bowl" several times (getting louder and louder). She did this, in a room of 15 people from 3 meters away, until the 5 year old child, who she was eventually yelling at, realised they were the target of the yelling and picked up the bowl. We paid with cash on our first lesson and have received two emails since then asking us to pay again and that our invoice is overdue. This is despite a conversation in person about the fact that we have already paid. After the first lesson I wouldn't have gone back but because you are made to pay in advance attended anyway. Wouldn't recommend this puppy school at all. There are other ones which are better, cheaper, family friendly, and more relaxed.

Awesome. Excellent with the dogs. Have completed 6+ courses with our two dogs. Invaluable for first time dog owners. Big, small, loud, shy, bold, opinionated or retiring. All looked after.
