About Waglands Dog Daycare & Boarding
With a background in Engineering and Health Science, Ben is co-owner and the brains behind the constant improvements at Waglands. He can’t help himself! His love of animals brims over too. Along with his passion for Waglands he finds time to lecture at Weltec Animal Care and Vet Nursing school and be an advocate for animals within the NZ Companion Animal Council.
Arlene grew up in a dog mad family. Breeding, nurturing, and performance training were combined with co-running the family Pet Shop. Then a career as a Business Analyst and Project Management set her up with the business skills she needed to build the Waglands dream with Ben. Arlene is also one of NZ’s few fully qualified NZ & Inter. master groomers, an international award winner, and previous NZ Groomteam member .

We know when we pick them up they will be happy and healthy and ready to go home. The team there are always friendly and accommodating and are ready to adjust when plans change. I highly reccommend them.

β β β β β Waglands is just awesome. All the team there are so welcoming and with such great facilities they make it feel like my dogs home from home. My 2 dogs have been to other facilities but I used to struggle getting them out of the car and they seemed very reticent to go and I felt guilty leaving them. At Waglands it is a totally different experience. They both get really excited when they realise where we are going and sometimes they are so happy to be there I don't even get a goodbye! It is always very reassuring to know they are in safe hands. We even receive report cards during their stay about how they are doing which is a wonderful personal touch which just about sums up our Waglands experience. I would definitely recommend them to anyone hoping for an enriching and unbeatable experience for their dogs.

β β β β β We've lived in 5 countries over the last few years and this is the best Doggie Daycare we've ever been to. The location is out of this world and feels like you're going to a resort - I just wish they let me stay there all day and play with the puppies :) Seriously a cool place for our four legged best friends. We take Belfy (our Samoyed boy) there on Fridays and even recently had him stay there for 4 days. Belfy didn't want to come home after that LOL he had too much fun. Their boarding suites are awesome so totally recommend to upgrade your pup to stay there. They also have over 20 playgrounds and an amazing training program (The trainer's name is Jan; she's awesome) and I couldn't tell you enough good things about the staff. They're the best; even with the c_vid shenanigans they always have a smile on their face (yes you can see the smile underneath theit masks). Don't hesitate to visit; I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

β β β β β We heard about Waglands from through a friend - their recommendation was glowing. Now I can't imagine sending my dog to daycare or the kennels anywhere else. The staff are dedicated and super responsive, and our dog always has the most fun when she visits. Thank you for taking care of our fur baby and for always being such a pleasure to engage with.
