★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a follow-up review after a couple of months. Owen definitely got rid of all the cockies completely, and I am delighted about that. However, while most of the ants disappeared from the kitchen, it seems that they simply moved on to the living room. So while Owen is an absolute font of knowledge about his subject, and is a good technician, I was disappointed with the follow-up.
In my previous review, I said that "I have used a number of pest control experts over recent years, and it becomes obvious which guys know exactly what they are doing, and take a lot of care to get the job done right. Owen is one of those. If you want your ant and cockies taken care of in Auckland, don't mess about trying to do it yourself (as I did unsuccessfully), just pick up the phone and call Owen. I cannot thank him enough for doing an expert job. Highly recommended. TOP."' Once the ants re-surfaced a couple of weeks later, I tried to contact him a few times, sent photos etc. But eventually I gave up as he didn't seem interested, and I have used a competitor instead. I have attached photos showing the ants swarming around the additional bate which was needed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly recommend Owen at Aces Pest Control. After seeing a mouse in the house I was rather freaked out. Owen was able to fit me in that night and took care of the problem. He was very professional and reassuring. I'm definitely glad I called Owen rather than trying to do it myself. If you are on the fence just book it in for peace of mind.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Owen behaved in a very unprofessional manner, very bad communication and behavior. It felt very weird, and both me and my wife were left stunned and surprised.
I understand that we are all stressed now, but if you can't cope with life/job - take a break/get help.
Called him and he accepted the job. Waited for him 4 days (and had to do some remediation in the meantime so we can live in the house, which he approved over the phone).
After he arrived he was visibly nervous. He was not listening (started the general pest talk without listening what I have to say), not inspecting, not looking for signs/entry points, decided to use bait after 5 minutes in the house... Ignored entry point I've shown him on the outside and insisted that pests are coming through the garage (although there were not signs of entry). Have shown him the photos/told him what we saw, and agreed to remove the patch that I put on the wall (he got angry because I put it in the first place, told him that it's not a problem and that I can remove it - he did not acknowledge that even in his reply below???). He just stated that he doesn't have the good feeling about the job and he has the right to decline it, and left (did not charge for the visit).
I just lost 4 days having to deal with pests, and now I need to find another pest control company.
On top of that he is almost double the price of the similar services (was not looking for the cheapest option, it was important to me to get the right service, and he has done a lot on web self-promotion).
