★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I applied for a role advertised on one of the major websites for a job advertised through Adecco. I received an email from someone at Adecco and set a time to go in for a face to face meeting - all fine. They asked me standard background questions, then mentioned a role that I had not actually applied for - sounded good. Never once did they mention the role I had actually applied for. When the lady came back after photocopying my ID I asked about the role I actually applied for. She said that the manager was out and busy and that she was helping him out with the paperwork and that she will get back to me with more information from the manager about both roles when possible. If I am honest I left thinking something didn't quite add up. A few days went by with no contact so I emailed and phoned - excuses and no information every time. This is still ongoing and I am into almost a 3rd week with no new information. Ended up phoning one of the employers and got the Information on the role I had not applied for. It Took 2 minutes and not 2 almost 3 weeks. Ended up being a dud 2 month contract role. You could apply for 100 roles in the time you hear back for one from Adecco Palmerston North.
Yes I know they have lots of other jobs and people on there books but this is not good enough. Also looks bad for potential employers - considering the employer I spoke to said he was going to review the their advertisement
I have now pretty much given up on the role I actually applied for and will try avoid using Adecco and If I do I am likely to be cautious of certain recruiters.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This company is the worst to work for from Mangement to the consultants in the offices making empty promises and being cheeky. I had a medical certificate showing I've hurt my back they asked me to change it to light duties and they would pay for it I've done it they never paid the money back for the medical certificate and one of the consultants were telling me she can't see why I can't work while having medical proof. I worked in reception was the worst time of my life I needed to resign because I couldn't put up with their attitudes towards me. I rather be without work then working in a toxic work place..
