★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While I did not look through this Dementia Rest Home (D3, D4 rating, some difficult behaviour etc, though not as difficult as those in a D6, who need more Hospital care.)A friend and I were met first by a Staff member who was very helpful and she went and got the Supervisor Michelle who was Excellent. While she could not help my friend with his Mother (D6) she explained that North Canterbury didn't go up to D6 (to the Best of her knowledge) and that there were only five (again to the Best of her knowledge) in Christchurch. Michelle was very Charming, you felt that Residents of Adriel were probably well cared for judging by the Two workers I saw and the glimpse I had of the Main lounge. I have seen the Adriel residents bus on outings to Amberley Beach and Leithfield Beach, reassuring that there are outings. One final thanks to Michelle she suggested looking at "Elder Net. Com. Nz" (I'm a dummy on computers, it maybe lower case "elder net. com. nz"), Michelle said this site would show vacancies and other information regarding Rest Homes. I'm pleased to have gone to Adriel and checked things out.... You never know, I MIGHT BE NEXT. ???
