For $20 we got a peaceful night's sleep, a large picnic area, washing machines, clean toilets, hot showers, a kitchen and somewhere to plug in our phones.
Definitely worth going out of the way for.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great campsite. Amazing hot shower, fully equipped kitchen (small but has everything you need plus some), free washer and laundry detergent, clothes line for drying. GREAT pub with good prices across the street, definitely check it out! Friendly local people and a pool table

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best campgrounds in terms of value for your money. $7 for the first person and $3 for each additional person. Included in that price is an equipped kitchen, hot shower, and free laundry.
Additionally, the guy who runs the place is very nice and informative. No checkout time deadline so it was a nice relaxing experience and certainly will come back if I'm in the area again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely quiet campground with all the amenities you might need: fireplace, kitchen, showers, laundry (2 washers, line drying). The community maintains these facilities beautifully and they are welcoming and friendly. One of the best campgrounds we stayed at on the South Island.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent place for freedom camping -- laundry (bring your own detergent) and clothing lines, well-stocked kitchen with toasters, fridge, and other utensils, hot showers -- for $10 per person per night. Caretaker and his son came by to pick up payment and say hello, and they were so friendly. Not a ton around but we felt it was worth the detour for such a pleasant site.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is fantastic!! Great vibe 2 fireplaces, kitchen, laundry, shower. Pay in the box. Electric hookup and camping. Really cheap. Treat with respect and pay the money in the box.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cover up all of your skin the Sand flies are severe here. I'd even go as far as a bee keepers hat, it would make panning a lot more enjoyable, beautiful scenery toilets are long drops and clean . There is a Sandfly shelter to have lunch and a cuppa.
