They exceeded my expectations by providing a cost effective, flexible service, working with me to get the best timing for packing up and delivery. They took exceptional care packing and transporting my belongings but most of all they are friendly and helpful, so easy to work alongside to have a smooth tranition from one city to another. I unreservedly recommend Allied Pickford for the exceptional service they provide.

In a move from Nelson to Christchurch AP managed to damage 3 of the 5 antique cabinets I trusted them with.
The company probably cannot get liability insurance, so suggested me to pay 500 dollar.more for insurance. Why should one need to pay so much for this routine transport? Incompetent Christchurch crew proved me wrong. Some broken-off fragments were found in the truck, but the rest just swept away and dumped. AP just added stress to the shift. Glad I transported most of my other antiques myself.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very disappointing service. Moving time was changed without informing us, bed was not delivered on the same day. The delivery person said the person in charge will give us a call in the afternoon but we didn’t receive any call regarding our bed but only a message at late afternoon saying she will let us know tomorrow. There is a large dent on the garage wall but again no one has informed us until we found out later. The Christchurch team we talked to was very passive aggressive towards the whole situation and was not apologetic about the delay of delivery.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The team in Christchurch were absolutely out of their depth. We required a house lot of furniture to be moved 6mins down the road. We went with them (they were not the cheapest by far) because we wanted a professional company that would provide the best relocation solution for us, but boy we were wrong, the staff were in fact incompetent, didn’t know how to stack furniture (we had 5 timber items of furniture damaged), didn’t know how to move a spa pool even though they said they could (in fact they had 6 staff on hand and still did $400 damage to our spa before it even got loaded on the truck) and when we complained and asked for $400 compensation all they would say is you should have taken transit insurance, I said the damage to the spa was before it was loaded, that’s not transit damage I said plus we were only relocating 5kms away!!!
Please don’t use Allied Canterbury if like us , you actually respect your furniture.

All staff were friendly and did exactly what they said they would in the time frame they said which in my experience doesn’t happen often with moving companies. Pick up exactly on time and quick delivery.
