β β β β β I loved staying at Apline Lodge this weekend as the food is to die for and the owners Leighton and Alexandra along with their staff are amazing. Nothing is a problem to make your stay an experience to remember. Located on the side of the Lake with a stunning short bushwalk at your door. The Lodge caters for conferences (which is why I got to go), families, nature lovers and those that just want time away. This place is worth stopping at or even detouring to

β β β β β We stumbled across this alpine gem on our quick campervan loop from Chch last weekend. We popped in for coffee and ended up having lunch and dinner and ditched our campers for a comfy bed and decent shower and didn't heave until the next day. The host, Leighton is amazing - he sold it to us with his friendly yet professional manner. I would rate the food, wine, accommodation and staff 10 out of 10! We even enjoyed the private spa with awesome view. Definitely stop and spend some time there if you can - we will be back for sure!

β β β β β Had beetroot & olive croquettes from the lunch menu - a very small meal which left me still hungry. The dominant flavour of fried crumbs did not enhance anything, and the goats' cheese foam was too liquid to have any flavour anyway. Very disappointing.

β β β β β Didnβt stay here, however we did have dinner and was not dissappointed. With 3/4 of the staff isolating they had their hands full but still managed to have top notch service, and we had our delicious dinner super fast. Big kudos to all that were on last Saturday, you guys rock, thank you so much.

β β β β β What a fantastic place to spend the last day of our holiday. From a very friendly check in and ensuring we had a dinner reservation to lovely room with view. The dinner was excellent as was the service. This place has a wonderful vibe that feels like the owners and staff have got everything right. We will be back.

β β β β β I booked for a group of 13 to stay at the Alpine Lodge. Alexandra was super helpful with the booking process and little extras we requested. Leighton and the team at the Lodge were fantastic to deal with. We all enjoyed our stay and the dinner, breakfast and packed lunch were delicious.
Highly recommend.

β β β β β We had lunch at the Alpine Lodge and were impressed. The service was good, main lunch meals tasty, but the stand out was by far the chocolate avocado mousse desert! Beautifully presented with delicious seasonal berries. I'd visit again purely to have this dish.
There was a large playground outside for the kids and overall it was a very pleasant relaxing lunch.

Great staff, timeless architecture AND beautiful food....(Nourish bowl highly recommended.)
The separate Backpackers building is great for a group / extended family get together - book it out so you have it exclusively for your group.
