★ ★ ★ ★ ★ With wonderful helpful staff, AMBURY is similar to a farm, allowing up close viewing of various animals. There are also BBQs available (booking essential) & ample space to have a gathering of family/friends ALL OF WHICH IS FREE! Overall, AMBURY is one of my fav picnic spots, a hidden gem in South Auckland!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of Auckland's best kept secrets, Ambury regional park is worth getting to. Get up close with farm animals, have a BBQ, enjoy the views, walk or ride the many and endless trails, and appreciate the rare native birds. A fantastic example of environment restoration and regeneration
Beautiful park, truly amazing to have the ability to feed animals, walk with them and be one with nature. Massive grounds, with plenty of space for everyone. Several campsites are located here, very affordable considering the environment and all the facilities available. There are BBQs on site along with park benches. Great place to go for a walk or a bike ride. Gates close at 9pm for daylight saving, check the board before entering. Brilliant place for kids, interactive and educational

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ambury farm is definitely worth a trip for kids 8 years and under. It is a working farm with free public access. You are allowed to interact with all animals.. kids live it.
For adults or families with older kids are great flat mountain biking trails out to the sea/Harbour
Great day out in Auckland!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a nice walk around so close to the city. The animals are cute and friendly and it's great that they have the large handwashing station by the toilets.
Make sure you don't wear good footwear as there's lots of poo everywhere, even on the walking paths.
