β β β β β Tried to book a hunt with ample hunting 2021. As soon as I asked about refund on deposit if the pandemic closes the Australia new Zealand travel again he stopped answering emails and will not respond to any messages. Most unprofessional outfit in new zealand.

β β β β β Some of the most cherished memories of my life have been with this outfitter. I first found out about Ample Hunting through youtube back in 2016. The videos were awesome and BJ seemed like the kind of guy I wanted to spend a week with. Seeing the quality of trophies and the landscape just made Ample Hunting so appealing that in 2019 I finally booked a hunt. It was a great experience. BJ helped my son who was 14 at the time take his first big game animal and it was done so ethically and professionally that it ended up being an education on hunter ethics as well as a great and exciting experience. When it was my turn to hunt, BJ was keen on doing it my way, spot and stalk with a bow for a couple of days. During that time, we spotted an amazing white-coated fallow deer. I really wanted this one, and after two more days we spotted him more than half a mile away! Although there were other animals in the area, BJ said, "If that's the one you want, we'll make it happen." And he did. I took a beautiful stag, an amazing fallow, and my son had the time of his life. BJ had a lot of little extras that made the week fun. He allowed my son to hunt turkey and possum and taught him a lot about marksmanship and hunter ethics. Lodging and meals were comfortable and filling. I enjoyed my experience so much that I later booked a second hunt with him for arrapaio ram. If you are hunting NZ and want great trophy potential while maintaining the challenge of fair chase, this is an excellent choice.
