โ โ โ โ โ I have been going here for a year to see Thomas. It has always been on the expensive side but Thomas does a great job so it was worth it. However, he is no longer working there, so I decided Iโll try another stylist. My hair is naturally black but Thomas had given me beautiful blonde highlights and brown lowlights so it had lots of depth and contrast to it. I wanted to go darker for the winter and I just spent $430 to have my hair 1 shade of dark brown. Spent 4 hours just to look like my hair came from a box dye. All the highlights are gone and now Iโm left with a muted brown. Very disappointing and definitely wonโt be returning.

โ โ โ โ โ Your relationship with your hairdresser is an interesting one - you need to trust their skills and their interest in what you want to achieve - the result is there for everyone to see - for a long time :-). Chika (style) and Kat (colour) were amazing. Kat really listened and advised a long term strategy that would protect my hair and achieve the colour I wanted. It would take 6 months of no colouring and then we would be away! How refreshing - I really trusted her and after Chika gave me a great cut, the colour I have still looked fine - as Kat said it would. Definitely recommend if you want to feel confident in the outcome. I love my new style. Thanks ladies :-)
I chose Anco because of their rating in Denizen - my go to place for all things Auckland. Thank you Denizen for recommending such a great hair salon.

โ โ โ โ โ I got my hair done by Chika earlier this week and i'm not one to leave reviews but i absolutely had to RAVE about my experience there!
I went in to have a consult the week prior and when I came in for my appointment she remembered everything we had spoken about; colour, cut, my sensitive scalp, everything.
Conversation flowed easily, everyone in the studio was kind and welcoming, their massage chairs at the sink are so luxurious I want one, and instead of walking out tired and sore after a big job of balayage and cut;
I got to walk out with incredible hair and a big smile on my face.
10/10. 5 stars. Can not recommend enough

โ โ โ โ โ Had a full foils done post lockdown and was expecting a blonde transformation, as promised on their website but for some reason, said they cannot make my hair blonde as it was too dark. I needed that hair change post lockdown so continued anyway, not the shade I was aiming for but still pretty. The only thing that disappointed me was when they said full highlights and when I went somewhere to get a haircut they said they only did partial foils to my hair. So I contacted the salon and got it corrected, they said they didn't explain to me properly that I'm not getting full foils, but my booking receipt after my payment showed full foils. They asked me to come over and correct it, made it full foils but only after couple of days when I put my hair up did I notice still some dark roots coming from the back which can only be seen when hair is up. I couldn't be bothered going back and complaining again. It's just a waste of time to be honest.
In response to you Adrian, I did show up for the colour correction. And that was the time when again, part of the back of my hair was not done. When I put my hair up I can exactly see the spots missed. The second appointment, I cancelled and someone called me and confirmed the cancellation. So I did not waste your valuable time and money because I cancelled prior to my second appointment because why would I go back to your place when you can't do full foils properly?
Thats fine if you don't take me again in your salon, why would I go back there anyway. And your reply just shows how rude and childish you sound as a business owner. That's how you treat your client? Good luck.

โ โ โ โ โ I got my hair cut and coloured by Adrian. The cut was great as he was able to give it shape and took off all the weight without having to take away much from the length of it.
I am absolutely in love with the colour. I chose blue and Adrian went the extra mile to put some purple dye which makes it so much nicer than just a plain blue. My hair still feel so soft and smooth after bleaching and dying it - I highly recommend ANCO.
The staff here were so nice and made me very comfortable for the 5 hours that I had to spend in the salon. 10/10 service and experience.

โ โ โ โ โ Very clean and cozy space in viaduct. I got my hair coloured by emma - the result was amazing, just the way I want !! She did my hair very neatly (didn't even miss the baby hair!), very meticulous and professional. She was very patient and explained the whole process very well. The best hair colour I have - highly recommend Emma if you are looking to get your hair dyed! The massage chair basin was very nice addition too!

โ โ โ โ โ I got a bleach root retouch and tint on the underneath half of my hair, as well as a treatment and trim. Emma did a great job listening and giving her advice about what would look good, it's wonderful that she has some experience with the 'secret colour' style! I recommend this salon as they really care about your hair condition, and the stylist worked well with my hair which is really on the fine side. Also can't complain about the massage chair every time you go to wash out the product :)
