When we opened our first store in Christchurch in 1995, our dream was to create a true pet superstore that could offer the complete pet experience and help New Zealand be the best pet parents they can be.

A few years ago, my childhood dog died. The next day, I received flowers, a condolences card, and a note saying they'll write off the balance owing, and cover the cost of her cremation! (Note that was before Animates bought in, so they may not do that now). I was absolutely blown away with their kindness in such a devastating time, and have stayed loyal with them ever since then.
