β β β β β I sadly had to have a poorly chicken put to sleep and the vet was so kind and sweet - she did everything right including continuing to stroke and tell her how pretty she was - to my precious chicken (who was exceptionally pretty and so sweet) while I held her - she made me think that her care for a cat/dog/chicken or even a butterfly would be the same ... lovely vet - and I will always be loyal to vet care because of her.

β β β β β I have never left a negative review ever, but I am horrified at the lack of compassion and support from this vet clinic. I am not a client, but I have a very old dog who has deteriorted quickly and it is her time. As you all know this is an incredibly difficult decision but this morning, after a very difficult night we just knew. My own local vet is closed today and the nearest after hours vet is an hours drive away, and we really don't want to put our lovely old zoe through that as she is clearly in pain, she can't even get to her feet on her own. I called this vet as they are open on a Sunday, I explained our situation and the lady said they had an appointment free at 11.15. We were so relieved, but when she took my details, she asked me to hold, and when she came back she said we couldn't take the appointment after all as we weren't a client! Can you imagine the emotional rollercoaster, client or not, it should be about the dog that is in pain - what a heartless stance to take, my poor Zoe will now need to go through another day and night of suffering because we just can't travel her a full hour away. I would now never use this vet, never recommend this vet, and will actively deter others from using this vet. They could so easily have gained a new and loyal client. We have 2 cats and 2 dogs. Appalling lack of compassion for animals.

β β β β β For over 10 years we have relied of CareVets Kapiti for maintaining the health of our felines. The team have always been proactive. Understanding, and caring. The clinic is well stocked, and staff at frontline welcoming.
Thank you for your compassion when we have had to make hard decisions. Our last surviving Burmese is heading into senior years, but we know CareVets can be relied upon to keep a check on any issues as they arise. Thank you.

I love how invested and energised they are by what they do, I love the care and respect you get for your animals by every person you deal with, I love the attitude of collegiality between the staff, the variety of specialised skills and the extra distance everyone goes to to help you. I love the way they are as committed and supportive when my mice need help as they are with my greyhound and bullterrier X. Definitely family now.
