★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great authentic old style kiwi cafe, spacious, efficient and friendly. Timeless classics like mince on toast served with crisp watercress, and cheesecake made on the premises.
Nice mix of European and Maori staff, and similarly customers.
The locals come here - always the best indication of genuine Kai (food).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A bit of a 70s vibe here, but in a good way. While the decor is a little tragic and the menu is fairly basic the food was delicious and cheap, the cafe spotless, the staff attentive and helpful and the coffee surprisingly good. I highly recommend the Bushmans burger ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly and pleasant Customer Service. The owner, Eileen Paterson, proudly has a sign stating that she own and operates the place on the entrance door. That is the type of attitude that makes a place great. Food Presentation was excellent and prepared like in a professional kitchen. As you can see….couldn’t take a picture of the food…as it look too good. Only an empty plate :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Without a doubt,an absolute gem of a cafe. Run by the friendly and welcoming Eileen Paterson..you get beautiful home baking, generous big breakfasts, eggs Benedict etc...something to please everyone.The coffee is perfect. Love stopping here. Well done Eileen and staff??
