★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pentecostal church, with services held at Michael Fowler Centre on some Sundays (morning & evening). Very friendly congregation and devout attendees; has loud music (mainly guitar) before and during service. They have branches in LH, etc., and has also started live streaming. The parish seems to be expanding rapidly in NZ.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had New Zealand sister city Conference 2018 In Arize center. The stand out feature is the impressive, glazed curtain wall covering 2 sides of the building creating an impressive façade, making the centre highly visible to all passing traffic. The Chinese delegates from Taizhou China had got very impressive experience after the conference too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome Church, across all the Campuses the leaders are caring, Godly men and women who love God and love people. They seek to help each person to find and grow in their unique calling. I have been a Christian for over 30 years, been part of a variety of churches, and having been at Arise (Hamilton campus) for over a year now everything I have heard preached has been entirely biblical. John Cameron is an inspiring, humble and courageous leader with a genuine passion to reach NZ with the saving love of Christ.

Wonderful service and a really great place to grow as a person. Thank you arise chruch for all the work you have been doing it is very appreciated and may it continue for the future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went once with a friend out of respect for their beliefs.
My family have always been Christian, and I was raised in the church so I supposed it wasn't going to be too far outside of my comfort zone.
But it was just bizarre. I felt like I was in some intense, drug-soaked nightclub.
I kept getting harrassed by these younger church members with these 'fixed' smiles on their faces. They kept asking for my number. I gave it to one just to get them off my back (I'm far too nice).
I would receive calls from the church every day asking when I was going to "take the plunge into God's arms".
Obviously I have changed my number since then.
These new-wave churches are just a tad much.

The whole church is based on the prosperity gospel, with a very shallow teaching that is a happy motivational pick me up gospel.
I do not recommend it.
