I have seen at least a dozen physios for MTB and MX injuries; Grant is by far the most knowledgeable. I personally appreciate that he explains in good detail, the causes, the symptoms and how to fix it PROPERLY.

One visit with Grant Ashton i found a massive increase in movement and huge pain relief, returned to work the same day. (wasnt recommended). ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have seen many physio's, osteo's and chiro's over the years. Have to say that I have been VERY impressed with the way Grant has located the cause of my back/neck/hip issues. He has given me some treatment to alleviate the pain.. but more so given me a solid gameplan as to how we are going to resolve this now we know what the problem really is. I have been in pain for years and have seen immediate results not just in the pain department, but also the psychological improvements of feeling really positive that we have actually got to the root cause of all this. I'd suggest his services to anyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bring a book or something to do cause it’s not often you’ll be seen on time, BUT I don’t fault that, I accept it as part of the deal with a Physio so incredibly talented that after SEVEN YEARS of Chronic shoulder pain, I have seen him for 3 weeks and even though I’m not pain free, I’m only taking pain meds once a week maybe twice, before starting with Grant I was wishing my doctor could prescribe me something stronger and taking them 7x a week. Grant has finally gave me an accurate diagnosis on an injury I sustained in 2012. He may run behind schedule in his appointments but it’s because he gives every client 100% and sometimes that means they take more time. I am thankful for this because I can now actually comfortably carry my 3 yr old son for a short period of time, or pick him up to give him a cuddle if he’s hurt. So thank you Grant, you are truly remarkable & you’ve enabled me to avoid exploratory surgery & a further loss of income from the recovery time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best and the kindest physio I have ever come across in Whangarei. He might seem to be rude on face but after only a few visits to his clinic , one clearly understands that he truly loves his profession and cares for all of his patients.
We should never judge a book by its' cover and this phrase suits him the best ????????...
