★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The 6 bed dorm I stayed in was all messy and dirty, which was not the fault of the hostel staff particularly but it is their job to tell folks to look after their stuff. The major problem here are probably the thousands of backpackers who, until they left home, had mom cleaning after them all the time. The kitchen had 2(!!!) forks. But to end this positive...the WiFi is good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We enjoyed our stay. Mandy at reception was very nice and extremely helpful. The rooms were reasonably priced and very clean. It is centrally located with an easy walk into town. We would choose to stay here if we were ever to revisit Queenstown!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Expensive when compared to places of same price. The room is spartan. No kettle, no shower soap, shampoo. Only one bedside table, so my watch, jewellery, glasses ect on the floor. Appears to be an easy access room, although not much space around the bed.
Can't lock the door from the inside.
Really is basic. Room, bed, bathroom.
Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Good location near town center.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hostel itself is great! Nice common areas, cheap laundry and dryer, 2 good equiped kitchens.
Stayed for 3 nights and those were our worst during a 8 months travel. Couldnt get any sleep because of our long term roomies who couldnt care less about 2 new people in, obviously, "their room"! Absolute rude behaviour in any time of the night and in the mornings.
That is definitely no fault of the hostel but I just needed to write this off of me. And also something to consider

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent place.and wonderful Host ! Sally is the best and lovely really passionate in assisting everyone. Great place to stay no need a car.to be right in the centre of Queenstown. Her knowledge about anything you wish to do in the area it's Fantastic, from Dining to Activities. What makes the place special is the Host, cleanliness and courtesy.

Beds a very comfy and on the cold days and night sitting around the fire place is amazing and it’s a great place to meet new friends. I would highly recommend staying here. Central to everything

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A friend and I stayed at Aspen Lodge for 3 nights in November.We had previously stayed there and found it very comfortable. My friend and I are in our 60's and appreciate a bit of comfort, but on a budget. The lodge was spotlessly clean. Our twin room was in a quiet part of the lodge. Kitchen though a bit dated ,was immaculate. Mandy the lodge hostess was very helpful and friendly. We are looking forward to our next visit!
